Beth John

Meet the Team

Beth John, Co-founder of the Project, has spent nearly 30 years in the overseas, independent school, further education and adult community Learning sectors, as a practitioner, Coordinator and Manager of ESOL, EAL, EFL and Literacy. Beth currently manages the SW&Mid Region of Wales at Adult Learning Wales, in Wales, the UK, where she is responsible for overseeing a team of over 50 Adult Community Learning tutors and business support staff. Beth is also an Estyn Peer Inspector for the Adult Community Learning (ACL) sector in Wales. ‘Estyn’ is His Majesty’s Inspectorate for Education and Training in Wales’, and Beth has a particular interest in the delivery of ESOL and Literacy in community settings, and the progress of learners in these subject areas, when inspecting provision across Wales.

Beth attended the 2023 EAEA Annual Conference in Zagreb, where she met Professor Dina Soeiro, from the Polytechnical University of Coimbra, Portugal, and both were struck by the opportunities that the ‘Museum of Broken Relationships’ in Zagreb could potentially afford a wide range of educationalists and researchers. Their professional working relationship continues as they work together, alongside the Project Management team, to develop the Project and share it with individuals and organisations across the globe.
